All-Weather Beer Garden

An outdoor & indoor event space with a retractable roof

Our most popular space is our heated/all-weather Beer Garden, adjacent the main bar.  Lounge seating, tables and plenty of TVs make the area a comfortable extension of the main dining room.  On warm days, you can eat and drink under open skies thanks to the Beer Garden’s retractable roof.  Throughout the winter, the roof is closed and the beer garden’s stone fireplace is always stocked, creating a festive ambience for nighttime revelers.  The beer garden is an ideal setting for Frontier’s signature whole animal dinners. 

Second Floor Lounge

Company holiday parties, surprise parties, corporate events

Our 2nd floor upstairs lounge is perfect for special events and private gatherings.  It features a full service bar, DJ booth, private restrooms and numerous flat screen televisions.  The lounge has two large-screen AV projectors – suitable for viewing parties, presentations, and major sporting events.  Exposed timber and natural brick accents provide a warm, inviting ambience for special events, and floor-to-ceiling windows add light and create a sense of space.  A stone fireplace warms the room on cold nights and highlights the rustic charm.  Please note there is no elevator to this space.

Chef’s Table

Up to 12 guests can experience how Frontier’s unique menu makes it from kitchen to table and get a real sense of the work it takes to prepare and cook dishes like gator, elk, venison, antelope or whole-roasted pig to name a few.  Lucky Chef’s Table guests who book in advance can request a special tasting menu, featuring a one-of-a-kind assemblage of Chef Jupiter’s creations.  The chef’s table is the perfect place to enjoy Frontier’s signature whole animal offerings as well.   Best of all, guests only need foresight to sit at the chef’s table – while it books up quickly, guests will pay nothing extra for the privilege of this unique vantage point.

Main Bar

A 40ft bar with exposed timber, natural brick, & state-of-the-art ice-tap draft lines

Walk-in customers are the bar’s mainstay, while table reservations can accommodate parties of 8-16guests.  Guests enter Frontier through the main bar, which features state-of-the-art “ice tap” draft towers that line the bar, pouring a rotating variety of local craft and unique import beers, some of which can’t be found anywhere else in Chicago.  Guests can also choose from over 30 bottles, cans, and “large format” beers as well as an array of wine liquor.  Multiple flat screen TVs stud the walls, displaying the best local teams.
